AYSO
1046 Tournament Season - Winter/Spring 2008
Tournament Team Coaches
We are accepting applications from coaches in the U10 thru U14 divisions to be Tournament Coaches for this coming season. Please send an email to our Coach Administrator to apply for this privileged position. Please indicate the division you'd
like to coach, years of experience, and a brief summary of why you'd like to be the coach. You can be an assistant coach on a tournament team and still coach an AYSO 1046 winter team, or assist with a winter team and coach a tournament team. You’ll miss some games (can't be 2 places at once), but the schedule is manageable for most.
Tournament Player Tryouts
Any AYSO 1046 player, U10 and above, that is playing in the Fall 2007 regular season is eligible to try out. Note that U8 players who are playing up will not be eligible to try out.
- Nov 4 – Sunday - Akimel MS Oval U10 - 12:30 pm, U12 - 1:30 pm and U14 - 2:30 pm
- Nov 11 – Sunday - Akimel MS Oval U10 - 12:30 pm, U12 - 1:30 pm and U14 - 2:30 pm
- U16/U19 player evaluations will be conducted during regular season games
Players should wear shin guards and cleats, and bring soccer ball and plenty of water.
- Additional try-outs may be conducted on TBD. Coaches will determine if this is necessary for each division.
All eligible players are encouraged to try out for their respective tournament teams, players that have been playing up a division will still want to try out for their appropriate age division; it is very rare that a player can play up on a tournament team (but is possible). If a player has registered for the winter and then does make a tournament team before winter season starts, then their winter season payment will be refunded. Payments made toward tournament teams are non-refundable as many times these funds are used for tournament registrations weeks ahead of actual tournament dates.
