Here at AYSO 1046...

All we do is soccer! We concentrate on providing a positive and encouraging experience for youth players, while helping them develop their skill and passion for the game. For our younger groups this includes having smaller, co-ed teams and short sided play (3v3 for our youngest groups, 5v5 for 6 and 7 year olds). The short sided play is great for developing soccer skills as it provides more touches on the ball for all the players. No goalies are utilized in the younger divisions to further develop foot skills and encourage shooting and scoring, this not only helps the players, but makes the games a lot more fun too.

AYSO 1046 maintains separate divisions for boys and girls in U6 through U19 age groups. The U6 - U14 divisions have separate boys and girls teams, however girls may play on a boys team, if they choose, but not the other way around. U16 and U19 teams are separate boys/girls teams in the fall. In past seasons, the winter U16-U19 boys/girls players are combined and games are played similar to the adult recreational leagues if we have enough players for this format.

AYSO certifies all volunteers and Safe Haven training classes are required for all coaches.

AYSO provides free "age appropriate soccer skills" training for coaches, soccer laws training for referees, and job specific training for board members.

AYSO volunteers are truly volunteers, but seeing the players improving their soccer skills and having a great time are the rewards.

Everyone Plays®
Our program's goal is for kids to play soccer so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least 50% of every game. It’s no fun to spend the game on the bench…and that’s no way to learn soccer!

Balanced Teams
Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible because it’s more fun and a better learning experience when teams of similar ability play. It allows for each player to gain the experience of a wide variety of teammates of different skill levels.

Open Registration
Our program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing. There are no elimination try-outs and nobody gets cut.

Positive Coaching
Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment for the players and leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players. A coach can be one of the most influential people in a child’s life, so AYSO requires they create a positive experience for every boy and girl.

Good Sportsmanship
We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.

Player Development
We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
